Preston County High School traveled to Elkins High School Wednesday, December 14 for their freshman boys basketball teams to face off. The game started off close with Elkins scoring 10 points and allowing 12 in the first quarter. By halftime the game was tied at 20 with Elkins scoring 10 and Preston scoring 8. Coming out of halftime Elkins dropped 10 points while Preston scored 11 giving Preston a 1 point lead going into the fourth quarter, with the score being Elkins 30 Preston 31. Coming into the fourth quarter Elkins was preaching defense already being down by 1, and only allowed 6 points while scoring 13 giving Elkins the win with a final score of Elkins 43 Preston 37.
