About

The Eye of the Tiger is the student produced online news website for Elkins High School in Elkins, West Virginia. 

Our mission is to bring news to our fellow students and the surrounding community. We aim to get opinions and news stories from our peers out into the world for others to enjoy.

Created as part of a relaunched student media program at Elkins High School in 2021, The Eye of Tiger publishes weekly online articles during the academic year. Additionally, eight print newspapers are also published. 

Over the years, The Eye of the Tiger has been home to award winning staff including the 2022 WV Student Journalist of the Year, Sara Collins, 2023 Runner-Up WV Student Journalist of the Year, Kiley Edwards, and the 2024 WV Student Journalist of the Year, Kaelan Lovett.
