[Tiger Times] Spirit Week Vibe Check

The team behind the Tiger Times has produced a new video interviewing the students and teachers of Elkins High School about their favorite part of spirit week.

“I don’t know if I have a day I’m most excited for, I always love Fridays because I love it when everybody wears their spirit gear.” Ms. Samantha Phipps said.

This spirit week was based on Pixar films.

Monday – Beach day based on finding nemo

Tuesday – Country versus country club based on cars

Wednesday – No school

Thursday – Pixar dynamic duos

Friday – School spirit with freshmen wearing white, sophomores wearing black, juniors wearing orange, and seniors wearing all three.

Seniors have the Friday fits down.

“I have this bright orange construction shirt, bright orange sweatshirt, bright orange shorts, bright orange socks, tiger stripes, yeah I got this down in the bag.” Erin C.  said. 

The crowd at Friday’s pep rally was very colorful and rowdy. Everyone enjoyed tug o’ war, a rock paper scissors foot race, and the mattress slide. The crowds went wild for the section shout and everyone was prepared for homecoming.
