Elkins High School is hosting a career fair on December 10th to educate students about different careers and connect them with jobs.
The career fair includes more than 40 businesses and is to help students communicate with business owners or talk to people about possible career options for students.
Mr. Talbott, one of the guidance counselors, helped organize the fair. He planned it by partnering with the Randolph County Technical Center and brainstorming career paths and local businesses that follow them, such as health, technology, cosmetology, trade unions, and more.
“The career fair is important to students because having the career fair helps students see options available and what training students need after high school. Students should prepare by having questions ready and remember that businesses are having adult conversations and to be respectful and polite toward the adults.” Talbott said.
