The gym floor is a normal part of a school. Well, here at Elkins High School, they just redid it. They sanded it down, which hasn’t happened since they built it in the gym in 1993, 31 years ago.
A while back, it was waxed, but patchy spots of wax were on the floor, tripping out basketball players during practices and games. They started working on it on November 4th, trying to get it done before basketball practice started.
They got it done on November Eighth but they
had to let it rest for about a week, but they had it done before basketball practice.
Mrs Lambert stated, “It cost almost 45K Dollars for the entire floor.”
The new floor is nice and was needed before basketball started and the season commenced. The new floor will gain a lot of memories over the next seasons played on it.
