On Friday, Feb. 28, Elkins High School held a winter sports pep rally. The pep rally started off by seeing which grade had the most pep and school spirit to win the spirit stick.
It was head-to-head between seniors and juniors for the spirit stick, but the seniors untimely ended up winning.
Then we moved on to recognize the efforts of winter sports including, swim, wrestling, and basketball.
After the recognition of winter sports, teachers were pied. Students had the opportunity to buy tickets to get drawn to pie a teacher previously during the week. Teachers like Ms. Brosky, Ms. Fibbs, Mr. Blake, and many other teachers were pied.
Lastly, we ended the pep rally with different grades going head to head in different games.
Overall the winter sports pep rally was a success, unless you were one of the teachers pied!
