After two years online, the Augusta Heritage Center of Davis & Elkins College is returning to live programming this summer. The next upcoming event will begin July 10th. Week one of Augusta’s summer session focuses on Cajun and Creole; and Classic Country and Swing traditions. There will be music courses; arts, folklore and craft courses; and events open to the public in the evenings such as dances and concerts.

Executive Director Seth Young looks forward to the upcoming session. “I’m looking forward to the community connections and to helping students learn from master artists face to face.” Young shared.

Augusta Heritage Center of Davis and Elkins College first offered programs in 1973. It’s a program consisting of dancing, making music, learning how to play instruments, and furthering knowledge of traditional arts culture and music. Augusta offers concerts, festivals, film screenings, cultural sessions, and other public events that connect communities to master artists all-year-long.

Augusta is a good opportunity for a better future and our community.
