On February 11th, 2022, the price for standard unleaded gasoline reached $3.35 in Elkins, West Virginia. The exact cause for this sudden rise in gas prices is unknown, with many pointing their fingers at whatever they can for some explanation.

Fox News blames President Joe Biden, having stated that his policies are causing inflation within the country.

In contrast, CNN places the blame on the crisis in Kazakhstan and how it has caused a rise in crude oil prices due to it being a provider. While the White House has not directly addressed the issue, they have said that President Joe Biden is looking at options to lower gas prices in America.

“I have faith that President Joe Biden can and will help quell this gas price increase.” Austyn Wyatt stated when pressed about the issue.
