Elkins High School is now hosting college and career week. From Oct 31, 2022 to Nov 4, 2022 colleges will be coming to visit the school’s cafeteria during student lunches. These colleges will be at the high school to discuss their scholarship opportunities, how to apply, assistance on financial aid, and even virtual college tours. While these colleges are visiting students are free to ask the representatives any questions they may have.
Advisors for all grades will be giving information to their homerooms, where students can join the guidance counselors google classroom for more information on colleges. “ The purpose of college and career week is to get students thinking of what they want to do after high school even if they don’t apply to college. ” says Mr Talbott.

November 4th, 2022 in room 105 during first period, a computer lab will be open to seniors, which will provide aid for seniors who want to apply for college. Friday, November 4th students were encouraged to wear the colors of the colleges they want to attend.
