Over the weekend, the Tigers attempted to get a bounce back win over the Trojans of Hampshire County. During the first quarter, the Trojans were able to keep pace only being down three going into the second. The optimism quickly went away as the Tigers blew the game open as they went into halftime up 34-19. They kept the gas going into the second half. By the time Hampshire reestablished their footing in the fourth, the game was all but official as Elkins get a huge win with a final score of 68-39. Cory Harper led the Tigers and the game in scoring with 17 points. Easton Shanholtz led Hampshire with 12 points. The Tigers improve to 6-3 and they face #2 in AAA Fairmont Senior on January 10th.
