On Wednesday January 18th, the Elkins Lady Tigers were in action to take on the Lady Bearcats of Grafton. The game started as Elkins broke out to a lead early, but Grafton bounced back to end the first to tie the game going into the second. Grafton was able to get a decent lead going to halftime, 26-21. In the third, Elkins were able to claw into the Grafton lead but were still down one going into the fourth. In the fourth, Grafton were able to grow back up to 8 but that’s when the Elkins rally started. Within the final few minutes and change, Elkins was able to hold and maintain the lead and take a 54-51 comeback win. Horne led all scoring with 19 points. Corley and Belan both led the Tigers scoring with 14 points. The Tigers improve to 7-5 and are back in action on Friday, January 20th against East Fairmont.
