Elkins began the season off with multiple meets and difficult practices. Although it was a challenge, the girls team finished their undefeated season with a state title. As the team left on Wednesday, the drumline and their peers all gathered in the hallway to send them off to Morgantown.

“I am over the moon because for the last four months, I have wanted them to grow as athletes, as human beings, and they have worked their butts off for it. I think that something unique about approaching a victory like this as a coach. I now get to sit back and be proud of everything they did and get to watch their progress through the season.” Mr.Blake, one of the coaches, said.

“ It was exciting to win,” Rachel said.
