Tennis is a sport to watch this spring. While tennis is often underappreciated, it is actually a fast-paced and energetic competition. Tennis takes a large amount of time and dedication, both of which the school‘s tennis team has plenty of. The team consists of 12 members, including four seniors.
“I think it will be a building year and the team will enjoy it.” Coach Mason Schoonover said.
The tennis team has scheduled 14 matches for the season. The first home match will take place on Mar. 21, 2024, against North Marion High School. According to Coach Schoonover, the first match will be the most important because it shows how the players perform.
The team will have five home matches throughout the months of March and April. The matches will take place at Davis & Elkins College at the Katherine S. Thomas Tennis Center.
