A 2-0 victory over Lincoln High School delivered the Elkins High School Girls’ soccer team their first WVSSAC Region I A/AA Regional Championship since 2006 on Oct. 31 at Tiger Stadium.
Goals scored in the second half by Addie Cogar and Haylie Doyle contributed to the win.
Freshmen Caroline Lee and Gracie Sharp reflected on the win. “I’m excited to play with our team.” Lee said.
“I’m lucky to be playing with such a talented group of girls.”Sharp said. “They made our freshman season special.”

The third-seeded Tigers hit the road next Thursday to face second-seeded East Fairmont at 12:30 p.m. in Beckley.
