Last Friday’s girls’ basketball game was a crucial tournament match to determine if the team could qualify for states. The Tigers faced off against Fairmont Senior, and Maddie B. delivered an outstanding performance, reaching a career milestone of 1,000 points in a clean sweep. The final score was 49-36.
With this achievement, Maddie has opened the door to numerous college opportunities and scholarships, securing a bright future in the sport.
“I am playing in college, and yes, it will give me more opportunities,” Maddie said.
In addition to basketball, she also plays soccer, with each sport taking place in a different season, allowing her to compete in both. Maddie has been playing basketball since first grade. Although she hasn’t always been a point guard, she stepped into the role this season after the previous point guard graduated.
Overall, Maddie’s dedication and talent have set her up for a promising college career.
