Opponents plan for him, teammates rely on him, and fans cheer for him. Senior Logan Beam is not only lighting up the scoreboard but is also lighting up the field with his love for football.
Beam started his football career when he was 8 and has been playing ever since.
“I first started playing football because my parents forced me to play, then I ended up liking it,” Beam said.
Growing up as a younger player, Logan took inspiration from his dad because of his hard work and work ethic. Logan’s dad always made sure to encourage him when things got tough and to push him to be the best he could be.
“For any young player, I would say to play for something bigger than yourself and never take your time for granted,” Beam said.
Football has provided Logan with many opportunities, life lessons, and relationships that will last a lifetime. Through the game, he has learned the value of hard work, dedication, and resilience- qualities that have shaped him on and off the field.
“The biggest lesson football has taught me is to enjoy every moment and appreciate the people around you,” Beam said.
Besides the game, Logan spends his time with his family and friends and enjoys the time that is spent with them.
Next year, Logan plans to attend WVU and major in business to eventually become an electrician.
“My future is built on the lessons football has taught me, and I’m ready to carry those values into every opportunity that lies ahead,” Beam said.
