The Elkins High Wrestling Team made their way to the 2022 Region II A/AA Wrestling Tournament on February 18. This two day tournament ended well for Elkins, as the team placed 7th overall with only three competitors who will soon be moving on to the state tournament.

Gavin impressively took home the title of the Region II Champion for the 106 pound weight class. “We still have work to do, we’ve got about a week until states. But it’s always something to look forward to” Gavin explained.

Nick took runner up for the 195 weight class, while Javier also took runner up in his 160 weight class.

Wrestling states will take place from March 3rd to March 5th.
