Lucy and Sally take no notice to Charlie Brown’s strange behavior.

On November 3, 4, and 5, Elkins High will perform You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Through the play, we follow Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang through a day in their lives as they play baseball, struggle with homework, sing songs, swoon over their crushes, and celebrate their friendship.

This will be the first musical at Elkins High School since the pandemic. English teacher and theater director, Ms. Armstrong felt it was a good production as theater starts back up.

“I knew that it was smaller than most musicals and I thought it would be a good starting place,” said Armstrong.

Students have been hard at work on this play for over two months and are excited to present it. “The cast and crew’s effort over this long period of rehearsals is admirable,” said Hannah, a junior playing Lucy VanPelt.

“We have been showing up for five rehearsals a week right after school. We cannot wait to have it pay off,” added Hannah.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. on November 3 and 4; and November 5 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10.
