Last week in Morgantown, Elkins High’s boys basketball team finished preseason workouts and this week the girls team began their preseason activities for the 2022-2023 season. Both teams are coming off runs in the state tournaments with the girls team falling in the Sectional Quarterfinals to Robert C. Byrd and the boys falling in the Regional Championship to Grafton.

When asked about this season, Boys Head Coach Amrit Rayfield said, “Just build on the success we had as a team last year.” When asked the same question, Girls Assistant Coach Courtney Roth said, “Team chemistry and Momentum. We had a good season last season with getting a win in the playoffs so we got to end our season on a high.”
