Elkins Drops Rivalry Game Against Phillip Barbour

On Thursday night, the Elkins Tigers played their bitter rivals in the Colts of Phillip Barbour. Things opened up close with Phillip Barbour having a lead after one quarter. The Colts blew things wide open in the second, outsourcing the Tigers by 13 and had a 40-23 lead going into halftime. Phillip Barbour was able to grow the lead by one to end third and by the time Elkins was crawling back, the game was all but over as Elkins dropped another 82-67. Bodkins led all scoring with 36 points. Watson led Tiger scoring with 21 points. The Tigers fall to 9-7 and will be back in action Tuesday, February 7th on the road against Buckhannon-Upshur.
