On Wednesday night, the 3 seeded Lady Tigers were on the road to take on the 2 seeded Lincoln Lady Cougars in Region 2 Section 2 tournament play. This game is a rematch from last season when Elkins came and defeated Lincoln. Lincoln ended the first quarter with an 8 point advantage. The Lady Cougars were able to expand their lead to 12 as they went to the locker room up 36-24. It seemed like Lincoln had full control of the third until a late run by Elkins cut the lead down to 9 to end the third. Elkins were able to outscore Lincoln but only by 2 as Elkins is eliminated with a final score of 67-60. Riley led all scoring with 31 points. Corley led all Tiger scoring with 17 points. Elkins finishes the 2022-2023 season with a 9-13 record.
