In celebration of the 85th Mountain State Forest Festival, Maid Silvia, accompanied by her Maids of Honor Sohpia Shoemaker and Miriam Faith, her Minor Court Brayton Washington, Kane Gainer, Caroline Simon, Laiken Tanner, Kate Terry, Claire Kniffen, Harper Brown, and Maddox Crawford, her jesters Anna Elbon, Aubrie Evans, Addalyn Sotosky, and Peyton Petrice, and Braelyn Haddix dressed as Woody the Elf, visited Elkins High School to a warm reception and energetic performance for the Elkins High Band. On October 5, 2023, Elkins High School hosted Maid Silvia in the school gymnasium. The entire student body was present to celebrate the arrival of Queen Silvia LXXXV, Anna Marie Ruf.

“I loved how enthusiastic the band was while setting the stage for maid Sylvia to visit.” substitute teacher Alicia Boggs stated.

The assembly began at 9:20 a.m. and Maid Silvia was introduced at 9:40 a.m.. The Elkins High School Band performed skillfully for the assembly. The Trumpeteers, Aaron Mabry, Aiden Lowther, Preston Herron, Levi Workman, announced her arrival and the jesters also performed for the crowd. After announcements were made and gifts were given, the assembly concluded around ten that morning.
